I Deleted My First Ever Song

MUSIC

My first song ever was a romantic song. I laugh about it till now, because what exactly did I think I knew about a man loving a woman at 19, please!

Anyways, It didn’t take too long for me to completely wipe it off the face of the planet because that was definitely not what I was sent to do 😂

I still make music today, and every song I write today is still inspired from love, but it’s a different kind, the realest kind.

They're usually about the Lord Jesus, His Word, His people and His future children.

You see, I've never really treated the music like a business, and depending on who you ask, this could be a great or horrible thing.

No PR.

No marketing machine.

Just songs born from Scripture and inspiration.

"One," which is quietly approaching one million streams, was simply inspired by the Word of God.

That's true of every song I've released.

The genre changes.

The Source doesn't.

Come Home sounds nothing like One.

Money sounds nothing like Miracles.

Zappin' Out is literally a pop song about the rapture of the Church; two concepts most people wouldn't put in the same sentence.

That's the experiment.

The message is eternal.

The medium is free to evolve.

Maybe that's why I’ve never really obsessed over marketing (I need to though)

I trust the Seed.

Years later, people are still discovering the songs.

And seeing One continue its quiet journey toward a million streams reminds me of something I've learned in every area of my life:

The best ideas don't just spread because they're promoted well. They endure because they're rooted, deeply.

What’s your favorite song by Nuee?

(And if you've never heard one before... this is your sign. 🤍)
